Understanding: A GCSE Comprehension Course

Oxford Secondary English companion to Book 4. This book develops the reading and directed writing skills required for GCSE English. Section A explains and develops techniques and strategies for reading a text; Section B provides packages of non-literary material including graphs, statistics, diagrams and other graphics; Section C contains literary texts, seven of which are complete short stories, with every unit ending with assignments for directed writing. This is a companion to Oxford Secondary English Book 4.
