Mainline: Progress B: Students' Book

Mainline is L. G. Alexander's new general English course. Using the four-page, two-lesson Unit, and fully-integrated audio-visual methods, it presents the kind of English used and needed in a wide variety of international situations. Mainline is a variant of L. G. Alexander's highly successful New Concept English scheme. Uniform grading within the NCE framework facilitates the transfer from one course to another within the series. At each level Mainline comprises two books, A and B; the course is cyclically graded, and thus either Stage A or Stage B or both can be studied at each level depending on the individual needs of the student. Mainline Progress is a pre-intermediate course for secondary or adult students. It is structurally parallel to NCE Practice and Progress. Mainline has accompanying Teacher's Book and Test Material, Tapes and Tapescript.
