A Graded Secondary School English Course: Book 4

A GRADED SECONDARY SCHOOL ENGLISH COURSE is a comprehensive, five-book course for Secondary School students of English as a second language, which will prepare them for the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate or similar examinations. It is assumed that they have worked in English at the Primary level and that all other Secondary subjects will be taught in English. The subject-matter for comprehension, composition and discussion is closely related to the pupil's own background. The necessary grammatical material is fully covered, with special attention paid to sentence pattern practice; common errors of vocabulary and expression are dealt with in the exercises.
